I've been to Egypt, Jordan, Golan (when it was Syrian), Israel and the West Bank.

Okay, then how do you not understand how bombing occur without a huge loss of life? Surely you have seen the shelters. The signage everywhere telling people where the nearest shelter is. The way they survive bombings is they heed the sirens and take shelter. They do it a lot these days.
