I really don't think so! I welcome any credible views to the contrary. Here is what I think:
1. If Bernie wins the democratic primary - we'll likely have four more years of Trump*.
2. If Bernie loses the democratic primary - his supporters will likely not support the winner. Trump* wins.
3. Therefore, either way, it looks good for Trump*.
4. I'm watching Bloomberg very closely.
Hillary would have won despite not having the Bernie "kids" who went with Stein, but for her corruption and the Comey November surprise. But imo Trump will increase his vote total regardless of whom the dems run. I don't think a socialist has a snowball's chance in hell in any of the six or seven battleground states, and I expect Bernie could even lose some "safe" dem states like RI or Conn. A progressive looks to remove barriers to people using initative to better their own lives. A socialist looks to tax others to redistribute wealth, so all pigs are equal except for those pigs that are more equal. And there's gotta be dirt on Bernie's flirtation with the soviets.
I suppose Bloomberg could win. I mean it's still possible he could win more delegates than Bernie. Trump's approval is still under 50%, and the biggest issue in polls is healthcare costs. (Bernie wants to tax us more for the HC we already have, btw) And Trump's been a disaster in farm states. He's got policies to make Jr. College no cost, probably work off loans, expand HC coverage, increase soc sec benefits and at least partially eliminate the cap. And Trump is only beginning his campaign of retribution that even his pet AG warns him not to do ….. I mean I could possibly see him snatching a state like GA, Missouri or Iowa.
But, in my heart, I think Trump wins. And personally that's not horrible for my own financial interests.
