Can Barghouti Save the Peace Process?

I guess Mr. Tinmore still considers himself a refugee even though he probably has lived here for a long time. Tell us, Mr. Tinmore, how come those millions of displaced people after World War II didn't constantly whine about being refugees, but got on with their lives, and their children and grandchildren don't consider themselves as refugees. If there were 300,000 refugees to begin with, Mr. Tinmore, and many of these 300,000 must be dead by now, how did this 300,000 figure morph into 700,000. There are Arabs from that part of the world living all over this planet, even in places like Chile. Are you trying to tell us that those Chilieans whose parents or grandparents originally came from the Middle East should not be considered Chiliean citizens but "Palestinian" refugees?

UN has more than 5 million registered refugees, almost all have been born as refugees.

Can anyone find the number of refugees that were part of the exodus that are still alive today?

According to this article, there are only 30,000 left.

UN gives 4% over the age of 65, but I think that figure a bit high. JMHO I would have estimated more like 1.5-2%.. Health care might be good in the camps but there is also a high rate of lung problems, diabetes and heart disease am the elderly palestinians.

Sad, isn't it, that after all these years people who weren't even born there are considered refugees. Other people who were refugees from different places around the world don't consider their offspring refugees, and after having lived in their adopted country for years don't even consider themselves as refugees anymore. They consider themselves as citizens of the countries in which they are living. I think part of the reason you see all these so-called refugees is that they have been brainwashed into believing that they are refugees so that the Arabs can try to push them into Israel eventually and with such a huge number of "refugees" take over the country. After all, it must be galling to them to have one tiny Jewish state in the area when all the land should be ruled by them.

So, Mr. Tinmore, do you recognize yourself as a refugee even after being here for a number od years? Pretty sad if you do. I don't call that stubborn. I call that silly when there have been millions and millions of other refugees who have settled in their new country and never look back. By the way, maybe the Zionists shouldn't have given jobs to the Arabs who came ffrom their impoverished countries and should have looked for people in other countries who would have been glad for the work, just like you see foreign workers in Israel now.

It's a shame that leaders have to worry about landing up dead if they make a deal with the Israelis.

Can Barghouti Save the Peace Process?

According to Palestinian sources, Abbas's biggest concern is that Dahlan may have been trying to forge an alliance with Barghouti to topple him.

Those who believe that Barghouti would be more flexible in the peace process are living in an illusion. Barghouti's position regarding the peace process with Israel is no different than that of Abbas, and possibly even less flexible.

No Palestinian leader would ever be able to come back to his people with a deal that includes less than 100% of Palestinian demands. As former Palestinian Chairman Yasser Arafat is reputed to have said after abandoning the failed Camp David talks, "Do you want me to be up there having tea with Sadat?"

If Arafat (the iconic figure of the palestinian cause) never had enough legitimacy to renounce to western Palestine as part of the palestinian historical homeland what can we say about anonymous bureaucrats with no charisma like Abbas or midgets and dwarves (compared to Arafat) like Barghouti or Haniya?

They don't stand a chance in Hell.

The right to return from the exile imposed on them by the jewish racial dictatorship has always been infinitely greater than palestinian leader A, B or C.

What Palestinian historical homeland would that be then, Egypt, iran, Saudi, Kuwait ?

Another question what about the right of return for the Jews, or do you subscribe to the "no Jews in Palestine" mantra.

Jose, had 5 Arab armies NOT attacked Israel in 1948, how many of those 700 000 Palestinian refugees would still be living in their homes?

If they had not left to join forces with the 5 arab armies, or fought against the Israeli citizens then they would not have been evicted and deported as enemies of Israel. The Israelis could have shot them were they stood for the crime of treason and no one would have known

Except, they are not occupying a country.

I am sure that the offspring of the Muslims and Christians displaced by the Jews prior and after 1948 had offers to move to nations that could host them and allow them to make a living, they would move in a New York minute.

But would never give up their Palestinian refugee status that pays them lots of money. But I see you are not concerned with the 1 million Jewish refugees forcibly evicted from their homes with just the clothes on their backs. The females of all ages raped by gangs of muslims mercilessly because of the loss in the war of annihilation.

That's right. There are many Assyrian Christians here who left the Muslim oppression. Even Coptic Christians are here. I am sure there are many others who would like to leave the Muslim oppression behind in several Muslim countries. After all, nobody wants to worry about being killed for their religious beliefs, do they, Haniya or Defeat67, whichever one of you is posting at this moment. By the way, let us not forget all the Iranians, both Jews and Muslims, who are certainly doing well here in America and don't have to look over their shoulders to see which Republican Guard wants to kill them. Hmm, I wonder why Defeat67 left.

Hmm, I wonder if Haniya or Defeat67 can arrange for all those Christian refugees as a result of the Syrian War to have a safe, hospitable place to go to. After all, Muslims like Haniya and Defeat67 certainly appear to be concerned about the Christians so I am hoping they put their heads together and do something for these Syrian Christian refguees.

Get a grip, girl. Try to address the issue at hand. Who I am and who you are, is really not that important, is it.

You are right, what is important is the number of lies you have told about your religion and heritage to cover up the truth. The issue is to what depths will the ISLAMONAZI go to force the world to do its dirty work and wipe out the Jews so they can steal the land. When will the filth of Palestine stop mooching of the world and get to working for a living. And lastly when are they going to start abiding by the treaties they have signed ant the International Laws they are now signatories to.

Those Arabs became refugees during the 1947-1948 Mandatory Palestine Civil war.
I don't recall the number being that high though. Got a link?

As a devout ISLAMONAZI PROPAGANDIST the figure is always trebled and then some more added for good measure. This is to cover up the illegal immigrants that flooded the area after the wholesale defeat. The demographics of the time showed that it would be impossible for there to be any more than 150,000 to 200,000 refugees from Israel due to the war of annihilation, and most of those left at the request of the arab high command.

Well, Jose, no one is stopping you from trying your hand at this with all your charisma. Meanwhile, can you tell us how many of the actual refugees are still alive at this time? After all most of the refugees from war torn Europe have passed on, and their children and grandchildren certainly don't consider themselves as refugees. In fact, the Iranians I have met, even though they themselves were born in Iran, do not still consider themselves refugees hoping to go back. Meanwyhile, Jose, since you want to appear as such a great humanitarian, can you tell us what the intolerant Muslims are doing to Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and even Muslims of the unfavored sects in the Muslim countries or do you just involve yourself when the Jews are involved? Surely, great humanitarians must have something to say about this since the blood of the victims has not dried up in many of these countries.

" Right of Return" is DOA just like the " Two State Solution" Actually, " Right of Return" would eventually make it into the " One State Solution" which is why it will never happen . :D

Until the Palestinian land thieves accept that the Jews also have a right of return then Israel is under no compunction to allow one arab muslim to set foot in Israel. It is a two way street as every UN resolution tells the muslims.

It wasn't a morph.

I said that about 300,000 were refugees before the war. Then there were a few hundred thousand or so more during the war.

And the ISLAMONAZI PROPAGANDA demographics says that you are LYING. There were at most 200,000 in total based of population figures at the time, unless you are claiming the population of Palestine was all expelled along with half of Jordan and Syria.

You should already know that.

According to Morris's estimates, 250,000 to 300,000 Palestinians left Israel during this stage.[10]:262 Keesing's Contemporary Archives in London place the total number of refugees before Israel's independence at 300,000.[65]

1948 Palestinian exodus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to UNSCOP the demographics including Jordan numbered 1,900,000 of which only 1,290,000 were arab muslims . so the whole of mandated Palestine only had 1,290,000 arab muslims. So for the ISLAMONAZI estimate of 700,000 to have been expelled from just 20% of the land mass shows that Palestine was greatly underpopulated with only 590,000 living in Jordan.

More likely is the ISLAMONAZI's are lying about the real figures that would be closer to 200,000 and have swelled the ranks by Illegal immigration from other places.

Ok but this happened during the 47-48 Mandatory Palestine civil war, which was actually the first phase of the 1948 Arab Israeli war.

My point was, had 5 Arab armies not attacked Israel in 1948, the second wave of refugees (700 000) would not have been exiled.
In fact, those 5 Arab states really fucked over the Palestinian Arabs big time!

With friends like these........

With there only being 1.29 million in the whole of Palestine, including Jordan, this means that Jordan only had 300,000 inhabitants

Not the Zionists fault at all, that is just your ISLAMONAZI racism and JEW HATRED. You could have had all that you demand now back in 1948, now the rules have changed and the offer is much less because of the Palestinian belligerence, violence and terrorism.

So maybe the Palestinians should have stayed in Jordan were they were accepted.

Between conquests, natural disasters and normal migration the whole world is made up of refugees. Nations were born and fell and reborn.

The return to Israel has been ongoing since the dawn of Israel's history. It is not a movement that began in the late 1800's. It never ended, it has always been. Tanzimat opened the way for the "modern zionist movement", before Herzl was even born.

Jews did not steal or occupy. They bought, cultivated, developed and fought to protect their country. The jews are Israel, as are all those who stayed and helped built the nation.

Translation ; Israel doesn't have the right to exist It Was was NOT a Country but a territory. They had the Right to have their Homeland where their religion was born . One more reason whT " Right of Return" will never happen. The Israelis are a stubborn lot who know the Master Plan is for the destruction of the Jewish State and a greater " Palestine ".
