I do not have a doomsday scenario, but I do know that more and more tax revenue will have to go to service the debt, especially if interest rates rise. In order to keep the huge, massive spending that both parties want the only choice will be to keep raising taxes to pay for the debt we keep adding.

It cannot go on forever. Just ask the people in Greece

B. Defending millions of innocent people from being exterminated in Israel is Israel's responsibility, not ours. They are a first world nation and they can pay for their own defense just like the rest of us. There are a lot of nations and non national ethnic groups, with fewer resources, fighting for survival. Israel is a wealthy developed country. Why aren’t we spending that money on more needy counties?

You left out some details.

Israel is a developed country, with the best equipt military and intelligence system in the region. It has a successful economy.

Many of the countries you claim as wanting to exterminate Israel have negotiated peace agreements and trade agreements with Israel. None of those countries are actively lobbing missiles into Israel. This is 2021 not 1961. The Taliban are in Afghanistan and Pakistan, half a continent away from Israel, not much of a threat.

Other countries face existential threats, for example former Soviet republics and Eastern Block nations facing Russian pressure (just one example).

Since when is insisting Israel fund it’s own security “turning your back on Israel”….didn’t you insist on similar with NATO?

There are pros and cons of everything. Things we may not know anything about. To have an opinion may be cause to be condemned as a hater. In this case an anti semite. I at times would wonder what AIPAC had in influence on our politicians. The left had its share of politicians who backed Israel some years ago. They were on the forefront with some Repubs. Now they are more silent. And the Repubs are louder then they are. Maybe this is all a game. Perhaps the lobbyists and the unseen power has tentacles in what we do and what we do not do. To watch Jewish politicians on the left let Obama and now Biden promote Iran's ambitions is troubling. This means that Israel would have to receive more aid from us as the ante is raised more and more. Yeah...the progs who opened up their mouths some years ago, are not so much now. Wasserman/Schultz and others who will be around for a half century and more are now silent. We are just used and are peasants.
