Calvin Coolidge ???

Really? I did not know adult Americans NEEDED constant "Protection". You will find there is a huge difference between "Equality" and "Equity".
There is indeed "a huge difference between "Equality" and "Equity"." when speaking about individuals, but I'm not sure you actually know wtf you are talking about here. Your posts here are more angry rants than they are informed opinions and arguments.

I don't believe Dante or most people here argue for "constant protection"

Is it possible that democrats can continue to blame the first two years of the FDR Great Depression on poor old "Silent Cal"? When are democrats going to take responsibility for history?

:slap:

FDR took over the Great Depression after 3 years of Hoover doing nothing but proclaiming……Prosperity is just around the corner

Coolidge policies set Hoover up for the fall

Calvin Coolidge not only kept the federal budget balanced every year he was in office, but when he left office, he left behind a budget surplus of $5.4 billion ($25.9 billion in today's dollars). Coolidge also reduced the national debt from $28 billion to $18 billion. Under Coolidge, unemployment dropped from 5.7 million to 1.8 million, virtually full employment. Manufacturing rose markedly under Coolidge, rising by 2.5% per year on average during his presidency.

Coolidge was the last president to balance the budget every year he was in office. No president has done that since.

His nickname was "Cool Cal".

Oh, really? Did you read them? If they're "BS," why don't you give us some examples of where they're wrong? Hey?

Coolidge benefited from an economy based on speculation and hands off policies. The same policies that doomed Hoover.
One, exactly what kind of "speculation" did Coolidge's economy benefit from? "Hands off"? Yes, absolutely, and the results speak for themselves. I notice you've said nothing about the fact that Coolidge balanced the budget every year and also left a budget surplus, and that under Coolidge manufacturing jobs rose substantially.

Two, I've already proved to you that Hoover was hardly "hands off." This is a matter of record. And, you continue to ignore the role that the Fed played in crashing the economy, such as the Fed's failure to offset the fall in the money multiplier with monetary base expansion, which led to a ruinous 24% deflation from 1929 to 1933. But never mind those inconvenient facts, right?
