California Regulators Propose Gov’t Takeover Of Oil Refineries To Stave Off Energy Crisis

Sure. Because government is so much more competent.
The last thing they will get done is actually producing any oil. Their first action will be firing the people running the refinery because they aren’t diverse. Then the shit hits the fan.

Life imitates art.

Right out of an Ayn Rand novel.

I’m all about seeing this happen. I want to see how this California experiment goes.
Given the track record of California with completing large initiatives (i.e. high speed rail), energy short falls (i.e. aging infrastructure, huge demand / limited supply) and the hate of fossil fuel energy development .. it will definitely be interesting. I have low hope in success. 20 years isn't a long time to convert to 100% renewable energy.

Yeah, maga just focuses on not joining the future.

Simpy

You have never heard of EVs, ok.
Sure I have. The environmentally disastrous mode of transportation that only takes you a few hundred miles before you have to pull over for hours to charge, while hoping the grid isn't overloaded.....................and freezes up in cold weather, or shorts out in water.

The ones where replacement batteries run anywhere from $20,000- $45,000? Those EVs?

What EVs are those?

Made up ones in your mind?

Problem with waste.
Windmill oil leak. They use about 500 gallons for the gear box.
