California hasn't built a new reservoir since 1979. In that time, the state's population has doubled

Everyone who didn't vote for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, or Gavin Newsom can very clearly see the problem with this basic equation.

The results are now being felt, most acutely by the same people who probably supported Newsom's brilliant release of trillions of gallons of rainwater into the ocean over the last 10 years.

Karma's a bitch, and her victims aren't likely to learn anything from this.

dei, lgbqt, environmental policies, you name any of the lefts favorite pet cows all on display in that state.
Idaho most conservative state in the union
vs
California the most liberal state in the union

We're being over run with californians and its about to get worse

Bass left Los Angeles on Saturday—two days after the National Weather Service warned that strong winds and “extreme fire weather conditions” would soon threaten the city. On Sunday, the NWS announced a fire weather watch. By Monday, the warnings had become much more urgent, with the NWS tweeting in all-caps that “A LIFE-THREATENING, DESTRUCTIVE, Widespread Windstorm” would hit L.A. imminently.

Leftists don't really care much for their constituents. It's always all about themselves. Just like Biden arriving while the fires raged and telling everyone how happy he was about his new great grandchild.

Tone deaf is deaf for a reason.

Capt. Kevin Easton and his firefighting team had already spent hours battling an out-of-control fire sweeping through Los Angeles’s Pacific Palisades area, leaving gutted homes in its wake. Then, around midnight, their water lines started to sputter. Before long, the hydrants had run dry.

“Completely dry — couldn’t get any water out of it,” said Captain Easton, who was part of a small, roaming patrol of firefighters who were trying to protect the community’s Palisades Highlands neighborhood. Even on Wednesday afternoon — hours after the hydrants had gone dry — there was still no water. Houses in the Highlands burned, becoming part of the more than 5,000 structures destroyed by the Palisades fire so far.

Officials now say the storage tanks that hold water for high-elevation areas like the Highlands, and the pumping systems that feed them, could not keep pace with the demand as the fire raced from one neighborhood to another. That was in part because those who designed the system did not account for the stunning speeds at which multiple fires would race through the Los Angeles area this week.

“We are looking at a situation that is just completely not part of any domestic water system design,” said Marty Adams, a former general manager and chief engineer at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, which is responsible for delivering water to nearly four million residents of Los Angeles.

Municipal water systems are designed for firefighters to tap into multiple hydrants at once, allowing them to maintain a steady flow of water for crews who may be trying to protect a large structure or a handful of homes. But these systems can buckle when wildfires, such as those fueled by the dry brush that surrounds Los Angeles’s hillside communities, rage through entire neighborhoods.

Strange how nobody ever brought that up before the wildfire. As if a reservoir would somehow prevent a fire.

You guys....hilarious.

It's been brought up many, many, many times in the past. Every time the state declares a drought emergency, which is every year, this issue comes up. And every year the DemoKKKrats who run the state do nothing about it.

sow -> reap -> repeat

As usual you're full of crap... Not one reservoir has been built in California in the last 40 years much less maintain them..
The lack of growth and maintaining the existing reservoirs is the fault of the Progressive Neo-Marxist Democrat governance throughout this period of time.

No power stations, no coal, and now with Uncle Joe, no oil or gas for energy.
And if the population has doubled, their reservoir needs have probably QUADRUPLED.
Twice as much water for everyday needs (toilets, sinks, washing dishes, etc.) and the other half to support infrastructure (hospitals, malls, fire hydrants, etc.).
Now it is becoming clear why LA is burning down.

if we're wrong, why wild fires every single year
If we're wrong why are hydrants dry.
You spread your bullshit like nero playing the fiddle while rome burned

Nobody seems to concerned about the cats being eaten all of the sudden either. Tim Walz was supposedly a war criminal a few months back. They seem to have forgotten that too.

Because all Leftists MUST be defensive, because their policies suck! Look at Florida. Hurricanes come in and within a few days, the lights are on, and life starts returning to normal. When a really bad one hits, they evacuate. There is absolutely NOTHING you can have to defend against a hurricane. All you can do is repair the damage. Same with an earthquake, no defense, only an early warning system.

Not so with a FIRE. Theoretically, if you had enough water, you could douse the sun. What these politicians in California.....past and present did..........was NOT fundamentally start the fires, but made the state incapable of putting them out in a timely manner. And for what/why???? Californians need to hold ALL these people responsible, and their political party also.
