California Chrome's Quest For Triple Crown Ends In New York

I would LOVE to see California Chrome win the Belmont Stakes next Saturday and become the first Triple Crown winner in 36 years.

However, I don't believe that Cali Chrome is a mile-and-a-half racehorse. The distance is too far for Cali Chrome.

It breaks my heart to admit it, but Cali Chrome will NOT win the Belmont Stakes next Saturday, and in fact, won't even finish in-the-money.

My top three finishers for the Belmont Stakes, in no particular order, are Commanding Curve, Wicked Strong, and Ride On Curlin.

I hope that I will see one more Triple Crown winner during my lifetime. It's been way too long.

I've been a Cali Chrome fan for quite awhile, and have seen all of his races. I predicted he would win the Derby and the Preakness, but I just don't believe Chrome can do the 1.5 miles and win.

Exactly right. And then you will have "distance" horses who will be running in the Belmont, and who didn't run in the Derby or Preakness.

The forecast, as of today, is for a wet track on Saturday, but we know how "accurate" the weathermen are. Track condition could play a huge role in the race.
