Buttigieg Under IG Investigation

I have seen this claim before on other politicians over the years. Always has to be investigate and goes different ways after investigating government reason for the travel. I have seen it at all levels of government official with legal access to government aircraft, all the way down to National Guard. You just have to wait for the report, not the knowledge that an investigation is opened. Sometimes investigations are opened for political reason and travel is actually government business related. If it turns out no government relation, have at him, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure the sitting Secretary of Transportation can take care of himself.
Break out your egg timer....I'm sure we're seconds away from someone claiming the investigation was a sham/cover-up.

Good it should be looked into. Doubt it has legs.
I doubt it has legs too. I don’t like the guy because of politics (not over sexual identity which I deem irrelevant). But it sure seems likely that a transportation secretary has some official travel obligations.

If he abused it for personal reasons, that’s a different story of course.

Tsk, Tsk...

And who says that Pete has abused private jet privileges? Not that DOT in any statement its made.

Buttigieg ‘glad’ for federal audit on his use of government planes

"Glad this will be reviewed independently so misleading narratives can be put to rest," Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg tweeted, in response to conservatives that have criticized his flight records.

“Glad this will be reviewed independently so misleading narratives can be put to rest,” Buttigieg tweeted. “Bottom line: I mostly fly on commercial flights, in economy class. And when I do use our agency’s aircraft, it’s usually a situation where doing so saves taxpayer money.” DOT spokesperson Kerry Arndt added that Buttigieg “flies commercially the vast majority of the time.”

The Transportation Department’s inspector general announced on Monday that it will audit his travel; the news was first reported by the Washington Post. The IG probe stems from a Fox News article in December outlining that Buttigieg had used planes owned by the Federal Aviation Administration 18 times since taking office, a practice Buttigieg has defended. A spokesperson at that time told Fox News Digital that 108 of the 126 flights he had taken on official business had been via commercial airplanes.

DOT said in December that the 18 flights Fox News highlighted — to destinations that included Las Vegas, Montreal and Oklahoma — cost taxpayers just under $42,000. The audit was originally requested by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) who has since called for Buttigieg’s resignation over his handling of the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
Any government official can use the fleet, if they can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the agency’s ethics department that the flights will be more cost-effective than flying commercial, or for security or scheduling reasons. FEMA officials and National Transportation Safety Board accident investigators are typically frequent users of the planes, and it is not unusual for top DOT and FAA officials, as well as the heads of other agencies, to use them when warranted.

I like him OK as a person, and heard he was a good mayor and smart, but nothing that set him up for being Secretary of Transportation, and he hasn't exactly dazzled anybody with brilliant moves. Like you, I do suspect he has travel obligations.

He's a sick, mentally ill faggot, and you like that? That says all we need to know about you.

You mean because I judge people on their merits other than who they choose to sleep with?
How very open minded of you, fkyou very much.

I saw Vegas, OKC and Montreal as the places he supposedly visited. Not exactly Monaco, South Beach or Palm Springs... Nothing burger. But definitely investigate.

Oh, I can't wait, either, but I am not going to proclaim in advance 'its all probably bullshit'. Usually it is what is NOT done to the politicians after they find they are guilty that is bullshit.
It's all bullshit if you folks were quiet when someone like Tom Price ACTUALLY did the shit you are accusing Pete of doing...

and not a single one of Pete's supporters are claiming the IG doing their job to investigate all allegations is a DEEP STATE persecution

Based on WHAT exactly?

'A Democrat / the 'gay guy' would never do such a thing'?

i posted why.

& as for the gay guy doing somethin' criminal - you take a good look at george santos.
