Not for nothing, but in your link it says that the FBI fired Steele for talking to Mother Jones. Not only that, but it says that Ohr was working outside of his normally assigned duties. You noticed the OP didn't post a link to back up their claims. I did. And yeah, what the OP is claiming doesn't make sense because Steele shared information with the media, and it was because of that, the FBI quit using him as a source, even though Ohr and his wife continued to collect data, even though they were no longer working for the FBI, so it's no wonder that they ignored some of the stuff Ohr collected. After the Mother Jones thing, he was no longer useful. When Steele shared information with Mother Jones magazine shortly before the 2016 election, reportedly out of frustration, the FBI stopped using him as a source. But Ohr continued to talk to him and pass his information along to the FBI, even though he wasn’t officially involved with any investigation pertaining to Trump.Ummm..................hate to tell you, but Trump doesn't have much love for Ohr. Matter of fact, it's quite the opposite.........................WTF makes Ohr credible ? His tweet buddy Trump?
F Ohr and Trump.
Who Is Bruce Ohr, And Why Does Trump Keep Tweeting About Him? | HuffPost
Who is Bruce Ohr?
Ohr has been with the Department of Justice (or “Justice” Department, as per the president) for nearly three decades. He started as a prosecutor in New York before transferring to Washington, D.C., where he was eventually named associate deputy attorney general.
How the hell is Bruce Ohr still employed at the Justice Department? Disgraceful! Witch Hunt!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 29, 2018
His focus is international organized crime ― particularly Russian organized crime. Colleagues and family members told The New York Times he has an upstanding reputation as “a scrupulous government official.” CNN reported that Ohr was viewed as “a consummate government servant.”
In certain posts, Trump called him a “creep” and a “disgrace.”
Ohr was demoted in December 2017. In a statement provided to Fox News at the time, a Justice Department official suggested he was doing too much ― “wear[ing] two hats” ― and the new role will allow him to focus back on organized crime.
As far as the OP bitching about the FBI ignoring information that Ohr was collecting? There was a reason for that. From the same link as above..........

But Ohr continued to talk to him and pass his information along to the FBI, even though he wasn’t officially involved with any investigation pertaining to Trump.
this isn't logical if he said what the OP stated.
Oh, fer phuckssakes, man.....I don't always have time to run to the source data. I often hear this on the radio.
Soirry, I know you lefties are STICKLERS FOR LINK AND HARD DATA!!
Bruce Ohr to lawmakers: FBI doubts credibility of anti-Trump dossier
Cheese and Rice, you guys are fucking funny.
From your link........................
Republicans have said that Mr. Ohr gave the dossier to the FBI, which it used to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, warrant on Carter Page, a key Trump campaign aide. When the dossier was given to the FBI, Mr. Ohr was head of the Justice Department’s organized crime and drug task forces, and passing it along would have fallen outside his job responsibilities.
Fox News reported this month that Mr. Steele, who was fired by the FBI for leaking information to the media, tried to use Mr. Ohr to contact special counsel Robert Mueller, who is heading the probe into any Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.
