Dawn raids as armed police hrepond to Kirkdale shooting
We're live with the police as armed officers are raiding a number of houses and a shop after a targeted shooting during rush hour traffic in Kirkdale.
Officers from Merseyside Police are this morning carrying out a number of raids in relation to an incident in the Stanley Road and Fountains Road areas of Kirkdale on July 12.
Dash cam footage of the incident capture three distinct gun blasts which could be heard as traffic made its way down Stanley Road.
No-one was injured in the daylight shooting, though detectives believe it was targeted Police said that shots had been fired in the direction of a car which was then driven in the direction of Stanley Road.
The culprits, reported to be a group of males in dark clothing, are believed to have run off from the scene.
