Can anyone explain what happened to the UK? I can not understand how this could happen in a country with basic human rights.

Britain's government and Monarchy have gone full blown Marxism and thus tossed out basic human rights. They even "temporarily suspended" elections. The reason is that Starmer and the Labour Party, having slid into Marxism have become the authoritarian, tyrannical government that is full on with the EU and WEF and Communist Klaus Schwab's world goals. Schwab has announced that he will be stepping down, but still working in the background to achieve the WEF goals of a New World Order. One of the statements he made to those attending WEF meetings was: "You will own nothing and be happy." The WEF has also been pushing the migration of Islam into Europe. The reason is that Islam has no problem with Communism and its people, mostly lowly educated, are quite malleable, outside of their religious beliefs.
In the long run, what the EU and Britain will look like will be (aside from terrain) similar to the Arab nations. Christians will have the following choices: 1. Convert to Islam. 2. Accept being second-class citizens who must pay the Jizya tax for protection. 3. Flee/migrate out of the region to a nation that isn't Muslim, if there will be any left. 4. Fight (although, having all weapons taken away, that's almost certainly not going to happen). 5.. Be killed by ongoing terrorist attacks.
Despite the claim that paying the Jizya tax will afford non-believers protection, in reality that's not quite how it works out. Islamic police tend to just turn a blind eye to any crimes committed against non-believers, whether a Jizya tax is paid or not.
Hungary and Poland are the only European nations to actually stand up to the EU and are not allowing "any" Muslims into their nations. Anyone living in England, should head there.
