I don't know what was said but unless it was a direct and credible threat, there needs to be a wide degree of freedom of speech, even in England.

Now consider why there are American (and increasingly Canadian) citizens doing police audits of laws and human rights. There is a legitimate reason even as some of them are more rabble rouser than auditor.

This is the result when police are left largely unchecked. During covid some of the laws, police activities and worse, fellow citizens ratting out others left much to be desired. If a war broke out, how much support would the state expect from citizens if they don't feel valued and/or free? They would be easily influenced by foreign agents.

Canadian citizens are trying to slowly force accountability but it is very difficult. Trump, Musk and even other U.S politicians could change all of this in short notice by putting a spotlight on it.
