They didn't teach it in my school, the British Empire was all sweetness and light, we could say the same about all European Colonialism, it was savage and brutal, problem is some of the ruling elite still have that depraved mindset.

 
Bad people with in a nation does not make an entire nation or economic system bad. Here in the U.S.A. in my world history class we did touch on those things mentioned. There is no way for any nations people to really rectify the past but we all can work to make the present and future a better place for all.

No. Sometimes it does make an entire nation or economic system bad, at least for a time.
