Zone1 Breastfeeding A Two and Five Year Old?

That's possible I guess. I don't know.

Even if she feeds them cheerios, the mother is the one responsible for feeding the children in most households.

Studies indicate that breastfed babies have higher intelligence scores and are less likely to develop behavioral problems or have learning difficulties as they grow older.
Exactly, we're talking about "Breastfed babies". A "baby" ceases to become a "baby" at about one. Then they become a toddler.

You'd need data on "breastfed toddlers", and then then on to prove your point.

The benefits of breastfeeding are so numerous that most health agencies recommend it for everyone for as long as possible, barring medical problems that prevent it.

Major issue: You're referencing the WHO.

I no longer trust this source, as they accepted the easily known and clearly manipulated COVID death numbers that the CCP released when all other reports and independent reporting was reporting infinitely higher rates.

The WHO is politically corrupt, and I simply won't listen to a word they say. If you can find another source to back the claim, I'll address it.

You'll have to give the website of the organization that is "most health agencies" so I can look and see what their stance is.

I'll wait.

At what age should a mother STOP breastfeeding? I mean a 5 year old would be in school or pre school. That gives recess and lunch a whole new meaning.

This gal in the UK was still suckling her 9-year-old girl. (From what I recall.)

No idea if it is right or wrong good or bad. Mothers milk is healthy. some body builders buy it to drink while weight training.

I'm no body builder, but personally I'd like to get some from the tap!

Choco is fine too! I'm not prejudiced...unless it comes to the black racist known as IM2.

The benefits and disadvantages of extended breastfeeding

"Nursing does not work for some people, but for others, it is a healthy and sustainable option that benefits both parent and child. If a person wants to continue breastfeeding or chest feeding past a socially “normal” age, they should feel empowered to do so."

I understand what you're saying but, what does a 5 year old need that he/she wouldn't be getting from breast milk?

Besides, I'm sure that this isn't the only thing she's feeding the 5 year old.

Both look healthy and as the link I posted says the benefits are many besides convenience.

The point is a five year old doesn’t need breast milk anymore. They’re perfectly capable of getting all the nutrients they need from food at that point.

Feed them a balanced diet and throw in a Flintstones vitamin if you’re worried about vitamins and minerals.

Never made the claim they need it at that age.

Really? You have “no idea” if it’s right or wrong for a mother to breastfeed her 9 year old daughter?

And I’ve been weightlifting most my adult life and have never heard of adult men buying breast milk to drink unless it’s part of a weird fetish or something

Well if YOU have never heard of it, it must not be a thing.

Why would she have to know science to breast feed?

Breastfeeding a walking, talking child who’s old enough to go to school is just gross and unnecessary

Yeah sure, breast milk has lots of good vitamins and nutrients. That’s fine. But babies need it because they can’t tolerate much else (besides formula, of course)

But a child old enough to eat and drink more or less the same foods you and I do?….. what on earth is the point of continuing breast feeding that long?

There is virtually no nutritional benefit to breastfeeding for a FIVE YEAR OLD. Here is a random image of kindergarteners. The percentage of their nutritional needs met by breastfeeding is frankly so low, it's not worth the drawbacks of 5 yo still breastfeeding (!?!). These are not babies, not toddlers, not even preschoolers. These are school aged children ready to read and write, and you think they should still be attached literally to their mother's breast?

Good point as far as health.. but I'm assuming the act of breast feeding will have some sort of psychological effect of developing an unhealthy perspective of the mother from the kids, opening up extra dependence channels upon the ones that already exist.

As just one consideration: up to age one the mother's milk is able to sustain and grow the child almost exclusively. By age five that child is getting almost no nutrition from the breast.

So, what is the purpose---really? For who?

If nothing else, by five years old, kids need to start learning the basics of, like, eating food like a normal human being

I can’t even imagine what that poor nine year old girls goes through when her peers discover she is still sucking milk from her mothers breast in third grade…
