According to a Truth Social post minutes ago, President Trump indicated that after a "very productive meeting" with NATO leader Mark Rutte, that he has reached a "framework of a future deal" for the island, currently a semi autonomous zone of Denmark.

Further, as a result, he stated he would not be imposing tariffs on the eight EU countries he saw as an impediment to the deal, slated for February 1st.

This is not a deal set in stone. Just a potential deal. Keep that in mind. Also keep in mind that Trump has accomplished more towards gaining the territory than any President in the past 150+ years.

It will be a great place to build and operate a maximum security prison. That's in addition to military and mining opportunities.
I would have preferred him leave it alone, but this is quite impressive.

And no, we don't need to go in the business of building gulags.

It is a framework. JD and Rubio will negotiate.

This was basically a climb down by both sides. There is a reason Macron left and didnt want to get hit with tariffs from Trump or have to take off his glasses.

Regardless, America needs to have full access to Greenland. Its minerals, land area etc. It must occur.

The Greenlanders might get the short end of the stick as they could have become Americans if not for the dishonest Europeans pretending that China and Russia arent plotting long term in that area of the world. Russia does NOT want America there I promise you that. This is why Putin said "oh watch, the Europeans will wag their tail when he arrives". It is reverse psychology as he wants them to do the exact opposite.

Russia and China doesnt want more U.S expansion and have them control these critical trading routes and access points which will become more accessible over time.

Yep. I included "potential" to denote nothing final had been reached. Trump got his way and forced negotiations.

Now if he feels deceived, the tariffs will come back even stronger. And an annexation could be possible.

If the OP is true, it is because Europe punched back and Trump came to the realization that neither a hot war nor an economic war was in the interests of the billionaire class he represents.

This framework will most likely be similar to the one that currently exists.

It will be the proverbial, "Declare victory and go home."

Then why is Trump declaring the outline is "everything we ever wanted?"

Well said.

And, as expected, the left has aligned themselves behind China, Russia, and the European kings.

Isn’t that what Trump said that he wanted?
It is a common rule of thumb that we watch what one does as opposed to what one says.

Not even I believe everything that comes out of Trump’s mouth. I didn't like the language, but I knew he would never go that far.

Like I said, I'd rather have him left Greenland alone, but what he's just pulled off is impressive nonetheless.

What’s impressive about it?

All he’s done is threaten tariffs and then back out. Nothing else has happened.
