I'm curious what did the surge statement mean? You clearly didn't understand what that "surge to the border" statement meant in context.
But, yes, I can understand your fear of Biden stepping aside in favor of a younger candidate, and then the issue becomes Trump's many flaws.
That we would deal with the legitimate asylum claims and sort out the people who were there.I'm curious what did the surge statement mean?
Ahh....makes sense. That we would deal with the legitimate asylum claims and sort out the people who were there.
Following our own laws is the worst possible scenario?Ahh....makes sense.
Politics...it always manages to highlight the worst possible scenario.
No....attributing the wrong meaning to a statement, perhaps even knowingly. It seems to be an embedded malfunction in our national process.Following our own laws is the worst possible scenario?

Or just not having a discussion, instead focusing on a badly stated comment in one speech.
True, unless the tariff makes the comparable US made product cost competitive.Trump doesn't know jack about Tariffs... he thinks China is paying them.

What is done with the collected money?True, unless the tariff makes the comparable US made product cost competitive.
and threatened to round up millions of people without due process of law.
Revenue to the Treasury. About $112b in 2022What is done with the collected money?
True, unless the tariff makes the comparable US made product cost competitive.
The same due process you deserve. What due process do they deserve?
Um, wow, we can tell you never worked in sourcing.
As someone who does, I can tell you, bullshit. It's never just about price. It's also about quality and service, and frankly, unless you make foreign made products so expensive no one would buy them, you will never make failing American businesses competitive enough to go through all the trouble of resourcing.
More importantly, once we impose tariffs, everyone else will impose tariffs on us. This will kill certain industries as America gets shut out of certain markets.
The same due process you deserve.
It's in that pesky constitution thing.
I mean, otherwise, what's to keep the government from scooping you up and deporting you.
The fact that I didn't break the law to come here.
Ok, so we scoop them up, give them an immediate asylum hearing and deport them 5 minutes later.
Due process observed.
They didn't breat a law, either. They came here, they requested asylum.
You can't deport them five minutes later, you actually have to come up with proof that they aren't entitled.
The standard is that German Couple that got to stay here for 17 years because they couldn't home school their kids.
You can't deport them five minutes later, you actually have to come up with proof that they aren't entitled.
Silly rabbit, they have to prove they're entitled.
5 minutes, max.
Okay, "I come from a country that your government has designated as a human-rights abuser"
Done.
You are right, five minutes, max, and they've made their case.
I'm not playing this game with you.Where does the asylum law say that's grounds to stay?
Post that section.
I'm not playing this game with you.
the one where I post the relevant section of the law, and then you either ignore it or pretend it doesn't say what it clearly says.
