And nowhere will you find that a citizen who knowingly and willingly does not pay his or her taxes but repays after they are busted gets away without being prosecuted... people go to prison for years for what Hunter did...

To charge tax evasion you need to prove they intended to evade taxes. Otherwise it’s just a civil offense.

Paying back your taxes usually is enough to show it’s not done willingly and the DoJ would rarely prosecute it.
