There are reports of an active shooter at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, GA, with the shooting occurring in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area. The base commander has put the base on lockdown. There are at least four casualties.

reports are coming in that they have a suspect in custody .. hopefully they have the right person and there are no other shooters .

My daughter was living on Fort Hood during the attack there. Her husband was stationed there as a mechanic.

If there's going to be a mass shooting then the best place to have it is on a military base where there are lots of guns!

And of course it takes some of th heat off the school children for a change.

I’ve never heard of anyone being able to carry on base. You have to report any owned firearms and keep them locked up if you live on base.
