Breaking: Big Beautiful Bill Moves To Senate Floor, Poised To Pass - JD On Standby

They proposed a trillion-dollar military budget for next year, that's what needs to be cut. You live in Canada, asking Americans to cause harm to each other while you sit up there and watch. SHUT THE **** UP! Ask YOUR government to do what you want done here and stay the hell out of American business!

Nice selfie. Now ask your government to do what you want done here. You don't seem to mind all the government gifts you get up there.

You're sure sounding kinda MAGA, IM2.

Check yo self, fool.

Ron Johnson's on board.

And JD wasn't even necessary.

Looks like full on MAGA unity coming our way for July 4th.

The walls are closing in...

On the Democrats.
Now if they just didn't make any changes a very fragile majority in the House can't accept.

It is definitely looking good despite Elon's continued whining about it on X. Given the tremendous benefits in it for us all plus incentive for greatly increased positive economic investment and activity, I will be amazed if it increases the debt at all, most especially by the trillions the left is citing.

As for Medicaid all the requirements do is to require responsibility/accountability to the taxpayers when you receive such a valuable and costly benefit. There are MANY exemptions listed for those for whom a work or volunteer requirement is not possible.

Wishful thinking. Do you have any idea how much economic growth the bill would take in order to be deficit neutral?

Nope. Nor do you have any idea how the bill cannot possibly be deficit neutral.

It is said the big beautiful bill will increase spending by $2.4 trillion over the next decade. That would be, if everything otherwise stays the same, $2,400,000,000 per year. It's anybody's guess if that figure is even real however. If it is, certainly generating that kind of economic activity in an America first policy is not only easily possible but likely.

Trump tax reforms in his first term did not cost the American people a dime but treasury revenues substantially increased every year. Those tax reforms will expire at the end of this year if the big beautiful bill does not pass though, and that will cost the American people trillions.

If we need to cut spending then eliminate tax incentives for prospective businesses research and development. Want to do business here then pay up.

Then no one would want to do business here.

Such backasswards thinking.

Oh yeah, deaf in one ear, multiple careers destroyed, relationships interfered with, healthcare meddling, snooping on my life and blocking pursuits.

Such impressive government "gifts" indeed.

How much does the government spend on that? How much is in the big beautiful bill?

On the other hand, tax incentives that promote economic investment and activity take not one dime from anybody but can pour millions and billions into local economies.

On the other hand, throwing tax payer money at people/groups/businesses to do research and development cannot help but encourage fraud, graft, waste.

If you don’t know how much economic growth the bill requires to be deficit neutral, then what do you base your belief that it will likely be deficit neutral?

Democrat Roy Cooper would be the next Senator

I don't know enough about Carolina politics to contradict you.

But I'd like to think the GOP would have some sort of ace up its sleeve if it had to...
