Fascists are hard right conservatives.
Really??? Where did you come up with this false narrative? Was it the left-wing revisionist teacher or fake new media or the fascist democrats who told you so? Perhaps you are falling victim to their projectionism.
Are you basing this on the conception that nationalism is a right-wing ideology? Yes, nationalism is a right-wing ideology if it is based on capitalism. However, while Hitler and the Nazis were indeed of a nationalist ideology, it was base on socialism. Hitler stated on May, 1 1927: “ We are socialists, we are the enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the economically weak with its unfair salaries”. So, there you have it, Hitler was a socialist, and he based Germany’s nationalism with a socialist (which is left-wing) foundation, not a capitalist foundation.
So, how about fascism. The philosopher behind fascism, Giovianni Gentile was an avowed socialist, whom wrote the doctrine of fascism in conjunction with Benito Mussolini. Gentile was heavily influenced by radical leftists: Hegel, Nietzsche and Karl Marx – the complete opposite of the hard right conservatives. Gentile even stated that “fascism is socialism in it’s most viable form”, and that fascism is itself socialism based on a national identity.
Mussolini was a member of the Italian Socialist Party for 14 years and was the editor for a socialist publication “La Lotta di Classe”. Mussolini also published an essay “The Trentino as Seen by a Socialist”. In 1943, Mussolini proposed the socialization of the economy, also known as fascist socialization. For this to go through, Mussolini consulted the founder of the Italian Communist Party, Nicola Bombacci. Hitler was an admirer of this left-wing fascism and implemented nationalism with a socialist based "National Socialist German Workers Party". If Hitler had the NACA (National Captialist German Workers Party), then yes, Hitler would have been a right-winger, but no, he based nationalism on a socialist foundation, which is left-wing.
