Wow, 8.0 that's a big one! I had no idea that earthquakes were a problem in that general area. Possible strike slip fault in that area of the Caribbean sea? If so it could extend north into the Gulf of America. That's all we would need is a strike slip fault @ the bottom of our gulf to accompany the hurricanes that terrorize our fellow Americans residing in our southern states. Lets pray not so!

Idiot. It would have to be a magnitude 10 Earthquake to feel it on the east side of the Florida Peninsula, in which case, many cities in Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico and S. America would be severely damaged, the Caymen Islands would be leveled, and many millions would die.
