BREAKING: 8.0 magnitude earthquake south of Gulf of America

Our planet is so beautiful but also so violent. Ditto for it's inhabitants.

The most perplexing of paradoxes which as a species we will not survive long enough to have figured out

I think the ones hat said 6.7 mistyped it, and they have corrected it to 7.6.

That number is a logarithm. So so a seven magnitude is 10 times stronger than a six magnitude and an 8 magnitude is 10 times stronger than a 7 magnitude. 7.6 is a pretty fair shake.

I think the last significant one in Seattle was 7.2, and it scared me shitless!

Edit: That one, called the Nisqually quake, in 2001, was only 6.8! I remember how terrifying it was!

Yes.

Cool! I hope, if they were shaken badly, that the illegals that President Trump put in there so far all pissed themselves, like the children they are.

Just over 400 miles from the epicenter, so they probably got a good shake.

I wonder if they understand the danger of a tsunami coming their way. How close are they to the shoreline?

lol. I was just thinking that, but the quake is a long way from there. There have been quakes nearby over the last few years though.
