They say the average American spends 13 minutes a day preparing and eating breakfast. But people are eating less cold cereal these days.
There are 6 popular brands of cereal that have had serious declines in sales.
They are:
Corn Flakes- introduced 1894, put out by Kellogg
Cheerios- introduced 1941, put out by General Mills
Raisin Bran- introduced 1941, put out by General Mills
Rice Krispies- introduced 1928, put out by Kellogg
Corn Pops, introduced 1957, put out by Kellogg
Special K- introduced 1956, put out by Kellogg

The specialists say the "soft" sales in milk have been partly to blame.

Cold cereal is what I do. Since I was a kid, now I just have coffee, too. I don't know why it's dropping off... lots of folks eat nothing for breakfast, just Diet Coke and a cigarette or something.

Some cultures use WARM milk, which sounds icky to me, though they say they're icked out by cold milk... whatev.

You gotta have breakfast, Margie. Rep if you know the movie!

The problem with cold cereals and milk is that the cereal gets soggy too fast. Except for the corn pops the ones you listed all need a good non-nutritive cereal varnish.

So true, not long after adding milk, Rice Krispies and Corn Flakes are practically mush
