RIP!

Freeman parachuted into Normandy on D-Day, fought in Operation Market-Garden and was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.

CALEDONIA, Miss. (AP) — Bradford Freeman, the last survivor of the famed Army unit featured in the World War II oral history book and miniseries “Band of Brothers” has died at the age of 97.
Freeman died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital–Golden Triangle, according to Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, Mississippi.

It will only be a few years before the last of the WWII veterans are gone.
The Greatest Generation is fading fast & we may never see that level of sacrifice & bravery again.
I'm sure most would rather go meet their Maker than live in this world we have messed up so badly

Sadly it's true, although their generation are the ones who passed the 'Hart–Celler Act' which sealed the fate of this country. So in a way, they are the ones with much of the blame for the condition of this country now.
