Boy Scouts of America officially changes its name to be gender inclusive

Membership took a huge hit about ten years ago when they lifted the ban on faggots. The six troops in our town shriveled down to three. Two of those that were left took the remaining boys that hadn't left already and remained active until the last members earned their Eagle rank or aged out. There is one troop left here.
The Trail Life group, which is a national alternative to BSA, formed here locally at the time of the lifting of the faggot ban. It continues to thrive. It's membership went from nothing to as large or larger than all the Boy Scout troops combined and initially was made up of all former BSA scouts and families who sought the scouting experience with the values that had previously been those of the Boy Scouts.
My son and I stuck with BSA until he earned his Eagle and aged out of scouting in 2020. It is disappointing to see what that once great organisation has been reduced to.
