You're right, investigations of malfeasance based on appearance and circumstantial evidence are warranted, however the summary convictions in the media are not. Much of the media (and of course the Democrat Lemming Squad) already has him convicted and are talking about what the punishment should be; based on nothing more than speculation and innuendo.

I say this as a conservative, not a republican- there should be an investigation. There are questions that need to be answered. Such as- did Trump ask (possibly threaten) Comey to drop the investigation of Flynn, and did that constitute obstruction, was Comey fired because of ongoing investigation his office was undertaking, what exactly are his business relationships to Russia, has he accepted favors from Russia while POTUS.

There would need to be an investigation if it would have affected the investigation (which it won't). The fact that up to the moment he was fired Democrats were even calling for his firing. Because of his own actions nothing that came from the FBI under him could be trusted.

As with his business dealings let me think about that he is in real estate so my guess it will have something to do with a hotel or a resort. Now any dealings within the last two years and future dealing with any foreign countries made with Trump inc should be investigated.

If the rank and file at the FBI, who by most accounts supported Comey, make noise about the investigation being killed with a new Director, then we are going to be in a very serious state. You are assuming the memo exists. If the memo exists we can find out in two minutes since all emails, memos, etc are saved for the archive. If the memo exists and he wanted to leak it why didn't he just send the whole thing to the press. Why didn't he go to his boss when it happened?

If the firing of Comey did what Democrats say they would be right about obstruction of justice, but it doesn't. The investigation will continue. Nothing really changes.
