In the 50s and 60s, there weren't very many blacks playing in the NBA.

Leaving Bill Russell off the list and putting Kevin McHale on the list makes me wonder if it is a white/black thing, also.

Sure, it can be narrowed to four players: Cousey, Russell, Hondo, Bird.

Just check the others states: no one else, though a great player, comes close. Except perhaps McHale. And Parrish.
