If you read carefully, you will find the border patrol union supports the proposal only as an improvement on the status quo. Not that its good - just better.

Let's be just a little realistic: Biden created this campaign issue the first two days of his administration. He reversed policies that were working better than any in the past 50 years.

If he wants a politically positive campaign issue, all he has to do is reinstate the policies that were succeeding when he took office.

What he is attempting is to benefit from the solution of a problem he created. Probably the epitome of perfection for a professional politician.

Do you really think he should be rewarded for accepting - and profiting from - a solution to a problem he created?

If Republicans benefit from his failure, that's the nature of politics. But not to worry... this issue is so huge that by July he will do something which he will claim is a major action which solves the problem, continue to blame Trump and Republicans.
