Biden's exit from Afghanistan showed that American foreign policy is as inept in ending wars as in starting them.

Yet by Thursday, the same day he instructed his press secretary to announce he was giving Iran two weeks to return to the negotiating table before deciding on a strike, allies who spoke to him said it was clear that the decision was already made.

why would he lies it is not like Iran can stop the attack So he says he will give them a time table but has alread apprvied the strike that would happen in a couple of days.

I guess he felt that Iran would shoot the plaines down if they knew it was comming.

He lies to people he is negotiating with.

Lies are part of his negotiations. He said as much.
