Some crazy snow and snow drifts on Emerald Isle.

Places in SC and NC getting cold snowy weather.

Yep. That's a snowstorm. We kids used to love those things when we were young because it often meant a day off from school and a day out playing in the snow.

This is awesome to see. Carolinians get to enjoy a winter storm. Its a wonderful thing that most all would look forward to. The cold is refreshing ss well.

Single digits to the 20's here for 2 weeks in GeoEngineered PA.

21 degrees in Jacksonville NC and lots of snow

we don't get snow usually so everything shut down

The south has gotten better in the past 20 years dealing with this sort of thing...Homes are built better with better insulation, however the residents are not accustom to the frigid temps out there this past few weeks, and for at least another week to come...

Now, I'm lucky. I grew up in Michigan, and lived north of Baltimore for 20 years before moving to the south. So, I've seen this, and much, much worse in my life...

We live just south of Greenville SC, and have been here for about 16 years now, give or take...We got about 4" of snow, and the temp this morning was 11 degrees...Happens about once every 5 years or so...I can weather this no problem, but man, I'll be glad to get back into the 50s.....

So i gotta ask whst os it about snow and cold you dont like? I find the older i get the more i like extended cold and snowy winters.

I've been in regions that get massive winters more than I haven't...The older I get, the more I am not liking the cold...Makes my hips hurt more, then you have to shovel out the snow, and I'm not young enough anymore to enjoy winter sports like I did when I was young...

Overall, I wanted to live in a warmer climate, and SC is a good compromise....Still gets a bit of winter, but stays mild most of the year....
