I hope that this signals a change within Boeing. A lot of people had their lives lost and/or put at risk including some of their own workers whom they FINALLY admitted they retaliated against for them trying to bring the safety issues to the attention of someone who could do something about them.

And I read that they have a "ship" docked at the International Space Station that isn't airworthy enough to return its crew back to earth.

Here hoping for a brighter future ahead:

In proper capitalism this company would die. But somehow it's found a way of being totally incompetent and getting away with it.

Nope. Until the managers who caused those disasters to happen go to prison for a very long time, nothing will change.

Aside from the CEO and COO, The last 3 were probably the main ones responsible for the safety and quality of the Aircraft made by Boeing. Out of the 5, at least 3 of these people are what people would call DEI emoployees.

Another major fail on the part of the government. A fine didn't work last time but hey, let's try it again.

Businesses consider fines, simply a cost of doing business. Nothing is going to change until people start going to prison, which is where executives at Boeing belong.

Hopefully like with Hunter the judge turns the agreement away.

Government help.
Crony Capitalism. Corporations living with huge government outlays. And having to adhere to government decrees on social justice laws or doing it as a form of acceptance and not to be destroyed from the propagandists who have infected much of our system of civilization. The 737 should be a passenger jet with much better safety reputations then the same from 60 years ago. The Starliner should have been a slam dunk from space capsules 60 years ago. And mating with the Atlas 5 rocket which evolved from the same blueprints from 60 years ago was not the most efficient ways to get into space. Government brings strings with it with many corporate interests. DEI is part of it.

The only change will be they do 8% better on their work and policies and procedures.

The biggest change will be that they become better at covering things up. All of these are a result of cutting corners to save money.

Until ceos, managers, supervisors go to prison and the company loses billions nothing will really change.

But this is what happens when a company based on technology and engineering is run by money men that only care about profits.

Not to mention and killing a bunch of people during the process.

It's a shame too because Boeing was the top of the line. I remember how impressed we were at Riddle (my undergrad) when Boeing flew one of our friends to Washington before he had even graduate so that he could tour the plants and they could "woo" him. He took the job and I believe retired from Boeing. I know he eventually left Seattle and moved down to southern California, the Lancaster area or somewhere close.

He graduated with a degree in engineering. Really smart guy and his younger brother graduated from Riddle to in their flight program if I recall recorrectly.

Not that I don't agree with you, I just don't see it happening.

I do remember though being impressed that Trump grounded the 737 Maxes after that 2nd crash. Even though he threatened to do so, I didn't think he actually would.

It's probably the only time I actually admired something he had done.

Trump did a lot that was admirable. Too bad the DNCCCP propagandists lied about him constantly.
