Zone1 'Blacks Need Not Apply': U.S. Military's 'Racist' Decision to Stop Recruiting Service Members from Black Engineering Event Draws Backlash

And the white democrats who preach diversity the loudest almost exclusively live among other white democrats.
How they see themselves:

white saviour.webp

And when a black conservative speaks:

white liberals black conservatives.webp

I would hope they would never recruit a whites-only engineering event.

Nor at Senator Sheldon Whitehouse's (D) whites-only beach club.

POC have been doing that idiot. DEI provides nothing special. Only white racists believe differently. The end of policies forcing equal opportunity returns America back to Jim Crow.
Please provide ANY regulation or directive which is discriminatory against someone’s race, color. sex. Etc etc. ANY

The SFA vs Harvard decision and all opposition to equal opportunity policies such as DEI.

Please show me the legislation that ended white racism, I've asked for that for years and nobody here has provided it, so don't ask me for anything.

DEI isn’t equal opportunity, it’s preferential treatment for some at the expense of others. I’m all for equal opportunity.

Ending DEI doesn’t equate to discrimination ding bat quite the opposite. Your failure is noted.

As soon as you post the law establishing white racism I will. Ben g a racist is illegal. You should be very thankful for that or your dumb ass would be in jail.

DEI does not discriminate. It prevents discrimination. It's time whites like you stopped lying to yourself about this. See this is where the conversation with bastards like you starts to get uncivil. Because you want to deny the behavior you exhibit, then ask somebody to show you a law. You guys love using plausible deniability. Murder is illegal. Rape is illegal. Fraud is illegal. All these things continue going on. So then you can stop this racism is illegal therefore it doesn't exist bullshit white man. I would not be in jail for opposing your racism. I find it very disingenuous how white trash such as you tries to reverse the racism on to me because I point out your behavior. That is called racial gaslighting and it's only done by white racists. When 76 percent of the workforce consists of less than 60 percent of the population that population is not being discriminated against white man and this is where whites are today. You are less than 60 percent of all Americans but 76 percent of the workforce, yet you weak fragile bitches are crying about discrimination.

Not keeping up with the times?

In a single sentence: DEI amounts to racial stereotyping that violates the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. This holding is compelled by the Supreme Court's landmark 2023 affirmative action case, Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v.Dec 9, 2024

DEI does not discriminate. It prevents discrimination.
No it really doesn't. If that's what it did there would be no reason for it to begin with. It's already illegal to discriminate against people based on their race.

Quote a single racist post I've put up on this site. Just one.

You guys love using plausible deniability. Murder is illegal. Rape is illegal. Fraud is illegal. All these things continue going on. So then you can stop this racism is illegal therefore it doesn't exist bullshit
Racism isn't illegal you muppet. You cant make an opinion illegal. If racism were illegal you would be serving a life term as serial offender.
white man. I would not be in jail for opposing your racism.

Again single racist post. You'd be in jail for your racism were it illegal dum dum

I find it very disingenuous how white trash such as you tries to reverse the racism on to me because I point out your behavior.

Im not reversing anything you're just a racist POS.

That is called racial gaslighting and it's only done by white racists.

Nope it's called calling a racist what he is. A racist. You dislike white people based purely on the color of their skin. Doesnt matter why. you do.

When 76 percent of the workforce consists of less than 60 percent of the population that population is not being discriminated against white man and this is where whites are today. You are less than 60 percent of all Americans but 76 percent of the workforce, yet you weak fragile bitches are crying about discrimination.

If you want a job you can get one. Amazon is hiring every day. You dont need even need a HS diploma.

Well this I can kind of understand, them not wanting to have to compete with engineers, but I still have some misgivings about its legality. I guess we'll get to that eventually.

As President Donald Trump’s administration continues to scour federal agencies of all DEI programs and initiatives, a U.S. military recruiting agency recently announced that it will no longer recruit potential service members from a renowned Black engineering event.

On Monday, Military.com reported that the Army and other service branches will end their enlistment efforts at the Black Engineer of the Year Awards, an annual event that invites students, academics, and professionals with expertise in science, technology, engineering, and math.

“In compliance with Department of Defense and Headquarters Department of the Army guidance, U.S. Army Recruiting Command will not participate in the upcoming BEYA event,” Madison Bonzo, a service spokesperson, told Military.com. “Service members and civilians are permitted to attend this event in an unofficial/personal capacity if they choose to do so.”

This comes just weeks after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a memo ordering all department agencies to abolish diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and offices to prepare to adopt new “merit-based, color-blind policies.” Shortly after, he announced that the Department of Defense will no longer celebrate and observe heritage and identity recognition months like Black History Month and Women’s History Month.

The BEYA event, based in Baltimore, has served as an essential channel for the Pentagon to access highly skilled STEM talent, award Reserve Officers’ Training Corps scholarships, and pitch military service to rising engineers. The Army Recruiting Command boasted a long-standing partnership with the event, and several past BEYA events have included the Army chief of staff and other senior military leaders.

Two defense officials signaled that the branch would likely abandon other recruiting events tied to specific racial groups.

The decision has drawn intense backlash from Army leadership and some recruiters have indicated that it’s a problematic escalation in the federal government’s efforts to scrub diversity initiatives.

One Army recruiter said BEYA “has always been significant” for the branch and is “one of the most talent-dense events we do.”

“It’s f—ing racist,” one active-duty U.S. Army general stated. “For the Army now, it’s ‘Blacks need not apply,’ and it breaks my heart.”

The Navy, Air Force, and Space Force have also withdrawn participation from the event and prohibited their officials from attending in an official capacity or in uniform. There’s no word on whether the Marines have also pulled out.

According to data from Military.com, Black applicants made up more than 24 percent of the Army’s new enlistments in 2022.

In a recent address to Pentagon staff, Hegseth said, “I think the single dumbest phrase in military history is, ‘Our diversity is our strength.’ I think our strength is our unity. Our strength is our shared purpose, regardless of our background, regardless of how we grew up, regardless of our gender, regardless of our race. In this department, we will treat everyone equally.”

“In this department, we will treat everyone equally,” he added. “We will treat everyone with fairness. We will treat everyone with respect. And we will judge you as an individual by your merit and by your commitment to the team and the mission.”

Holy Crap ... The Military figured out that highly skilled and intelligent Black Engineers ...
Can actually find the Recruiter's Office and Volunteer for the US Army like everyone else.

Imagine that ... How did it take them this long to figure it out.

.

It would be insulting to get the "Black engineer of the year" award. The award implies blacks inherently are inferior, thus they need a special award.

Now, had they introduced a white engineer of the year award ... 🤯

How about The Army just recruit engineers and forget what color they are?
Best if they do that by ignoring a gathering of top talent because of the colour they are. I hear ya'.

Look you can write until your hands fall off, but what you are describing is an event or label that undoubtedly excludes whites or other people of color from such an event, so yes things like that are in violation of the equal opportunity law's that don't allow whites to place their race on a title or label before an event or before a name or before anything else for that matter. Why do Black's feel as if they are entitled to do these sort of thing's when it is forbidden for whites to do these sort of thing's ????

History month's should be called or changed to "American History Month", otherwise where a student can choose the American heroes of their choice freely, and then to write about them in order to lift up their heroes or their influencers instead of doing so on a person's race first, otherwise it somehow being required by the teacher, school or government as the only way too recognize the person chosen in the assignment that was given.

Do blacks not think that black children or black student's that are in higher grades might have white American sports heroes or movie heroes and etc in which the black student might wish to write about in a should be truly promoted color blind society, otherwise a society that we would begin seriously to push for in order to have such a society in hopes of it becoming a reality in America finally ?

Yes MLK's dream speech should be taken seriously if this nation is ever going to finally start to heal from it's past. Pete is right to go merit and character based American standard's and core beliefs now in a color blind way.

DEI is not an EOP.
Anything being race oriented or pushed in such a way, otherwise that places one's race as a requirement or label to be listed first in anything, uhhhhhh is actually racially motivated or suggest special privileges based upon one's recognition of one's color or race first. It is not the right thing to keep doing in most Americans opinions these days. Merit and character recognition only is the best way forward. FACT !!!

What specific laws are being broken here?

I'm guessing you're from one of the slaver states that seceded. How close am I?

Wow ... Top Talent and Highly Educated ...
It's like the very intelligent Black Engineers have probably heard of the Army Corp of Engineers in their studies.

I'm still going to bet they can find the Recruiter's Office and Volunteer to do their duty.
