I'm trying to make sense of it. OK; a TRAINING flight etc etc but why didn't the ATC tell them the plane to visual was on their port side above them??

I'm of the belief that the helicopter was intentionally flown into the jet by remote.

I've been thinking it's something like that too. I think the DEI narrative is what they want conservatives to believe, as a distraction. To me that's obvious, because of how quickly that narrative was offered... and it worked.

Normally, the pilot not flying would be the one on the radio with air traffic control.

I'm pretty sure she was the one flying.

Both her as a ''co-pilot'' and him as the ''pilot'' have flown out of there hundreds of times, regardless of their designation.

Either could have been piloting the craft, but, as was mentioned, he was the one on the radio.

I'm just gonna run with the co-pilot (the male on the radio with air traffic control in this particular instance) and/or air traffic control dropping the ball.

Moments later, ATC then warns the military pilot about an inbound aircraft preparing to land: "Traffic [American Airlines passenger plane] just south of the Woodrow Bridge, a CRJ, it's 1,200 feet setting up for Runway 33."

The Black Hawk pilot responds with: "PAT 25 has the traffic in sight, request visual separation."

I hadn't seen/realised that before though I must have heard it.

Because the ATC was doing the job of two people. They were understaffed. The ATC failed to do their job.
