The Trayvon Martin shooting is very relevant to the Ferguson shooting case because in both cases the liberal race-bating crowd jumped to rash conclusions before all the evidence was known, and they continued to repeat their myths about each case even after they were debunked by subsequent investigations and hearings/trials.

By the way, Zimmerman passed TWO voice-stress polygraphs, one of which was administered without his knowledge. And, one of the things that impressed the lead homicide investigator was that when he falsely led Zimmerman to believe that the police had located a video of the shooting, Zimmerman was visibly relieved and expressed gratitude that the incident had been caught on video.

Zimmerman never should have been prosecuted in the first place. The local law enforcement authorities in Sanford quite correctly concluded that Zimmerman's story was credible and supported by the evidence and that there were no grounds to indict him. Zimmerman was only indicted after the liberal race-baiters screamed and whined so loudly that the governor caved into PC pressure and appointed a state special prosecutor to prosecute Zimmerman.

If Martin had survived the incident, he rightfully could have been charged with assault and a hate crime.

I would not be so quick to dismiss the DOJ report on the Ferguson police department. I think the report presents many indisputable facts that show that some Ferguson law enforcement personnel have frequently targeted blacks for selective enforcement of various laws, especially traffic violations.

I agree that some liberals are race baiters and that they sometimes use false evidence to stir up racial tensions (e.g., the Trayvon Martin shooting). I also agree that some parts of the DOJ report are weak and speculative. But there is much in the DOJ report that cannot be denied.

Why did Martin wait there, for over 4 minutes, when he could simply continued on his alleged journey to his dad's house? Before that, why was he walking through yards and looking into windows? (That's right on the police all transcript.) Did this have anything to do with the fact that he was caught at school with a common burglary tool and women's jewelry in his backpack? Was he casing houses the night he was shot? It surely looked like it.

If nothing else, go read Martin's social media posts, where he talked about killing people, about slapping girls who would not cooperate sexually, where he was congratulated for trying to punch a bus driver, etc., etc., etc.

As for Zimmerman pursuing Martin, that's what security people are supposed to do. A good security guy keeps his eye on a suspect 100% of the time, until that suspect is gone from the property. And the pursuing (established as normal security protocol by the state of Florida) is not the reason for the shooting. As best as anyone knows, that reason was self-defense.

He's a security person, whose role is to provide security for the housing complex. You don't provide security by sitting in a vehicle and allowing suspects to roam around freely, where you can't see them (only to have them then crawl into somebody's window). As for "killing unarmed Black men", that is a twist of reality. "Unarmed" has nothing to do with it. Despite the fact that the stupid news media continues to play that word up, there is NO MENTION of it in the Florida self-defense law. It doesn't matter if an attacker is armed or not. If he is coming at you, you shoot him, and you aim for the central part of the body (torso), which has the highest probability of not missing, and also happens to have a high probability of being a fatal shot.

This is entirely correct, but I must make one correction. In Florida, assault (784.011) is much less than what Trayvon did. It is merely a threat to do violence. Trayvon, according to a witness, committed violence on Zimmerman, which escalates his crime to what is known as a battery (784.03), or felony battery.

The crime could also possible be defined as aggravated battery (784.045), if one sees a broken nose as "great bodily harm" and if there is any permanent disfigurement.

I would suggest that with the pounding of Zimmerman's head against the concrete pavement, this could easily be defined also as attempted felony murder (782.051), which carries a life sentence.
