Yes. The intent of the gun is to exert pressure on the people you are robbing, forcing them to comply with your demands. It makes no difference if the gun is real or realistic (but fake), or if it is real but not loaded… It is still armed robbery.

.. and most likely aggravated assault.

It's already a felony.
I think that if you use a gun to commit a crime it should be an automatic 25 year sentence without parole.
Shoot someone in the commision of a crime 50 years without parole.
Kill someone....automatic death penalty.

With this being a group of teens, it's most likely the same scenario we continue to see: single mother, no father figure, no discipline and no respect for authority.

Our cops should be more like Uk's cops and only have tasers

UK cops have a baton, CS spray, and those that are trained, a taser. If there's an incident with guns, cops with gun training are dispatched.
