They jury followed the law based on the evidence that was presented. They did not or should not rewrite the law or are they allowed to change the law.

They go by the evidence presented and what the law is.

Apparently they can, this juror did. But she is very clear that she would have preferred "following her heart" and lynching Zimmerman, despite a lack of evidence to support her heart's desire.

I think it's clear that this jurist lied to get on the jury, because she felt deep down that Zimmerman was guilty but she couldn't convict him because there was no evidence of it. If she had more support from the other jurists she probably would have made sure he was convicted regardless of the evidence.

She was probably affected by the massive publicity since she left the jury and got exposed to the fight now going on. When she was on the jury, she wasn't exposed to the barrage of claims. Now she is.

Now you see the reason for sequestration. This juror was influenced by the publicity after the trial was over. If juries were bombarded with this kind of publicity during the trial, the outcome would be affected. The law and the evidence could not support the prosecution. Everything else is propaganda.
