I don't invest in BTC I just marvel that it can be trading at these levels. What do you think? If Trump wins, will that be the impetus to break through to new highs?

I played with XRP ( Ripple) and BTC ( Bitcoin). The latter I traded big between 6 and 8000 and sold the lot at 20 000 having made a huge amount of money .
I am not too upset( present 68-9, 000 ) as I moved everything into Gold at 1600 and Silver at 18-19.00
Now 2740 and 33.00 respectively .

My Remote View anecdote is that BTC goes to 87000 before a fall back to 37000 due to the dollar and US collapse , presumably this coming year .
Then it flies through 100 000 and to the sky .

Gold and Silver might tread water a little short term and possibly fall back in front of the huge rise generally forecast for next year onwards .
Market forecasts are rock minimum Gold 3000 to 3500 and Silver could easily hit 100 .00 though most specialists will play safe and tell you 50 to 80 .
Nobody likes looking a fool by forecasting far too high .

Because of geo political moves plus a huge move in the Commodities Cycle you will make literally millions .
This opportunity will be literally once in a life time .

Not that mug punters take any notice .

A momentum for moving away from the dollar is growing with everyday that people have to deal with that green piece of toilet paper. It has been so thoroughly drained of its value due to irresponsible money policy that it's no longer worth the trouble using it.

Related is what effect will a potential bitcoin boom have on the other cryptocurrencies? Where will for example Ethereum and Solana go ?

Bitcoin is up a bit over 3% today. Dogecoin is up about 12% today.

It seemed like a lot of the big coins with follow each each each other in terms of going up or down. Now there seems to be some noticeable differences. Dogecoin is up about 43% in the past month. In the same time Bitcoin is up about 13%.

I am aware of Dogecoin but no details .
However , it will have risen because of its dealings .
Its increase is only on a price of 16 cents !!!!!!!!!!
Not $69000 like BTC

Those background discussions are beyond my knowledge areas -- however surprising !!
I swapped from Crypto to Precious Metals mostly because I could not make up my mind what "stories" to believe and whether Deep State or the US Government puppets would find ways to control and /manipulate BTC .

After all , Governments nominally exist on Tax Revenues, and if the whole world switched to Crypto , the incentives to cheat the tax man become huge --- all actions on Block Chain are decentralised -- no obvious checks are possible .
Or , so we are led to believe .

Yes true … the point is though the percentage increase. While one Dogecoin is worth significantly less compared to one bitcoin. Many folks have pumped in thousands if not more into Dogecoin at .10 cents per coin…. so when Dogecoin goes up 40% it increases the entire value of their investment by 40%. So in the past month, Dogecoin is well ahead of bitcoin. Dogecoin is well ahead of bitcoin.

It simply comes down to how much equity one has into bitcoin compared to Dogecoin and at what point do they invest into either coin. You’re gonna have people who are more profitable on both sides of these coins.

There’s quite a few folks who have equity into all of the major coins …and that includes bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and solona coin, for example.

Yes, bitcoin, Ethereum, and some of the other major coins are now publicly traded on sites like Robinhood. But there are many so-called meme coins that are traded on other more private wallets. Hundreds if not thousands of them. Many of the smaller unknown cryptocurrencies have a lot of potential.

To your other points, I’ve heard some good things about investing into gold and metals.

Get in .

The result of the election is judged irrelevant .
Both have so called economic platforms which are judged inflationary which will push PMs higher .

Harris will be a bungling fool regardless , though like Piss Pants she will be run from behind the curtain .
Donny has Tariffs which may be pragmatically profitable in the short term but their effects should further boost PM prices .
Safe Haven etc

Donny may be a nuisance if he pushes for an end to never ending wars .
This could be seen as deflationary, but Deep State will doubtless not allow such a change for more than a short time.
How else could they fund Black Projects ?

Some historically sound experts talk of the Gold Price at between 5 and 20 000 quite quickly -- say two years .
Perhaps somewhat ambitious, but I think such forecasts are at the mercy of geo -political events which cannot be guaged in advance ( Remote Viewers excepted ! ) .
Though expanded BRICs will be key --- how much and how fast .
imho

I think Bitcoin's volatility is more valuable to day traders than it is to long term investors.
