Actually as a percentage the rich often pay less. You have to include all taxes, and not just federal income tax. When it comes to sales tax, or gasoline tax, the middle class pay far more as a percentage of income, than the rich. Same with social security (FICA). Same with user fees.

of course that is what I've been saying for years on here. Google the only tax graph you need to know and you'll see that they pay the same as everyone else according to the IRS percentage wise, on average of course... Counting all taxes as you say. Go argue with some GOP dupes LOL

What is your solution, Slick? Make the gas tax a progressive one with a couple of CPAs standing next to each gas pump figuring out how much everyone should pay in tax based on a progressive sliding scale on a gallon of gas?
