MJB12741, et al,
Of course the Israeli's will consider retaliation; but I don't think it would an effective application of pain. Don't get me wrong, if they get some actionable intelligence or a hostile target of opportunity emerges, that they won't neutralize it.
I think that Israel will increase pressure on their security countermeasures, barriers, checkpoints, and border crossings. I did not hear any suggestion that these were Arab-Israeli citizens. Assuming that, I thing that the Israel Security Forces will want to do something that will not affect there own civilians, yet screen-out all possible Hostile Arab Palestinian (HoAP). The most effective way is to maximize security and prevention is screening at the border crossing points; before threats have an opportunity to enter.
Most Respectfully,

(COMMENT)Tel Aviv shooting: A look at the four victims
Can't wait for Israel's retaliation & watching the Palestinians & their supporters ***** about how many more dead Palestinians there are than Israeli's. It's called Palestinian mentality.
