The good news about this is that there is now no reason to tip the staff if you go there. The coffee waitresses are being taken care of by the union bosses. But I would have never thought in a million years that people who pour coffee for a living would think that they would want to be controlled by a union. It isn't like this is a skilled trade or anything. In gas stations, people pour their own without incident.

Damn, I remember going to a Starbucks 26 years ago and it costing like $5.00 for a large Mocha Latte.
They had one at Dulles Airport and since I had to drop the daughter off at 0-dark-thirty I decided to get a cup.

WTF? I asked how long it had been on the burner.....It's fresh, the boy said. I believe it was around $3.00 back then.

I tossed it in the trash and stopped at a Mom & Pop out behind Dulles on the way home and got a decent cup of .50 cent coffee.

I never got just plain coffee at Starbucks, if I went there, I got something I couldn't make for myself.
They make the mochas lattes fresh.
I will give them this--- it was chock full of caffeine!

Double the price of a Starbuck cup of coffee so union bosses can extort money. Sometimes you gotta wonder.
