Big Government is happening. Every party notices that, but every party wants to think the others don't.

The Right thinks Big Government is all about power.

The Left thinks Big Government is all about donations from Corporations.

I, personally, tend to research things instead of listening to other people.

Politicians don't get into office on word anymore. It's no longer tree stump speache's. It's a politician stating, "I will think about using your product" so Corporations will donate to that person. Hell, the Federal Reserve is all Corporate ran. Mostly banks, but Halliburton (construction) whose VP was Dick Cheney is and has been rebuilding Iraq for a long time now.

10 Minutes of Research for anyone can go a long way.

In short, the people that hate big government are generally the ones pushing it. Gay marriage the biggest observation of this. "I hate big government but I'm willing to make law to prevent gays from getting married"

This board is a great example.

Unless it is on TV or talk radio, there isn't a thread about it.

Funny thing.

I've been making posts for years about common sense and everyone screams "LINK!"

If I use a link, it's generally (not always) from a video sharing service so people can see what the politician actually said instead of reading bias transcripts...........I'm often attacked for using these video services as invalid links to information LOL.

That's another thing that bothers me. Most folks at this site don't take time to educate them selves. I would estimate, well over half don't use desk top PC's. Consequently, they are only interested in typing less than 140 characters, and definitely not interested in linking what they say with proof, or viewing any others proof.

How can these folks really know what is going on when all they know is what talking heads tell them to think? 85 to 90% of this site is nothing but a rehashing of the partisan war. It's naught but their ego trip. I read some of these threads, and by page four, they ALL degenerate into a flame war.

"It's the Democrat's fault."

"It's the Pub Dupe Hater's fault."

"It's the liberfools fault."

"It's the tee pee party's fault."

The big government elite types most love that. I sometimes think that is what this site was created for. It keeps the spot light off of them I suppose.

(You've been making posts for years? It says you joined in March. Gotta sock? :cool-45:)

"(You've been making posts for years? It says you joined in March. Gotta sock?" ~ I've been posting on other forums. I only learn when I'm challenged beyond the point of "you are stupid" statements. Many forums later, it's a classification of people, not facts or debate at all.

You can tell that informational threads like this one die off yet ones with honey boo boo style drama live on. Americans won't notice we are headed to another depression if we keep their minds off Corporations paying zero or less taxes and on drama. Never let them notice Corporate wages are at an all time high and WORKERS wages are at an all time low. If the workers wise up and realize their paycheck isn't small due to a couple of YT VIDEO'S and mostly due to the bosses keeping all their profits, they might get a little mad.

Corporate mergers are increasing yet the economic influence that usually follows in not there..It seems like the majority of Americans are being denied the benefits of the recovery because of stagnant wages and commodity prices(coal, oil and food) are decreasing at the trading(wholesale) level but not at the consumer level...one exception would be gasoline from oil..
You hear the clamor of corporations wanting lowered taxes to zero rate taxation and investment income to be lowered to under 20% to zero and the conservative wanting no income taxes.. How the hell does a nation run on little to no taxes for revenue? Even the Founding Fathers had to tax to survive...

"Denied the benefits of the recovery".........there was only a recovery for the top 1%....The very ones who buy politicians and use scare tactics on people to get more money.....

The CEO's of the "bankrupt banks" treated themselves to a resort outing due to their success just after the bank bailoits. The Doctors driving up prices of healthcare uncaringly are creating the necessity for something new. The Lawyers that are fighting to get perfectly fine people "Disability" are doing great........

The people that use to work at a factory but their job got sent overseas after NAFTA are trying other things. They get jobs at fast food, rising fast food age statistics to around 35. Some are still looking for factory jobs so they don't have to work at a fast food wage, but receiving unemployment after getting laid off when their last job started outsourcing jobs. SOME of these people are taking advantage of the system instead of looking for jobs like the ones they use to work for.

That is what I meant about the majority not feeling the recovery..What with quantitative easing benefitting the 1% along with the bailout of the 1% . These people for several years after the bailout were not letting out small business loans for individual investment and entrepreneurship for the 99%. Let's face it, there is a collusion of the 1% and our govt.. to create a poverty class by denying jobs for citizens and the preferential hiring of illegals or immigrants and the destruction of the middle class through loss of financial assets and personal wealth...WTF!

THANK YOU. I can find things FDR did wrong and Reagan did right and I can find things them two Bush and Obama all have done similarly. Too bad soo many of the leading posters are all about cussing eachother out. I really wish the red x would come back and mods would move more threads into the flame zone.

Then again, we are all here to generate clicks from 13 year olds posting from their mother's ipads. :(

I wouldn't use the term " collusion"....This funding is open to the public that wants it through websites such as "OpenSecrets".

I vote based on the corporations that invest in their puppet, not the politician.

Last year was Big oil, military weapons, coal, casino's, and a personal business vs. Gays, Wind energy, military weapons, mainstream media and health insurance. I studied the donations and saw what they were going to do in their speeches. Watching it later play out was obvious to some of us. Seems we can't seem to ditch those military weapons contractors either party. Basic citizen weapon manufacturers are buying now and have the best profits of all time. Buy a few politicians to create fear, and all of a sudden my deer bullets go up to $1 per bullet. These scared to death citizens need to use their brain and stop letting bias parties use it for them.

Not to be rude, but I think the people you think are 13 year olds are over 70..........technology is moving human knowledge at an advanced rate. 13 year olds are still a bit open minded....Bigots like the family I was raised in will never open their mind. I'm part of the generational gap happening, the transition from bigotry to open thinking. I still correct myself and allow others to correct me when I am wrong. I haven't been wrong in quite a while. (In fact the last forum when I stated I was wrong, I later realized I was correct)
