Biden’s Infrastructure Bill: Tear Down Highways

This is just another means by which Biden, and the people that run him, funnel billions to leftist
strongholds to tear down freeways and then build new ones.

It's money laundering, pure and simple! Detroit, Baltimore and Austin are shit holes because of
democrat leadership there.

Patriots are standing on the sidelines, shuffling their feet....groaning and moaning but doing nothing.

Meanwhile, sworn enemies of the People of the USA are actively dismantling it and installing their version of Fascism.

Stop trying to foment violence. That's what fascist dems are good at.

Tell that to the Founding Fathers. You consider them ultra violent don't you?

There comes a time when silence and passive lament just isn't a winning strategy.
Again, why don't you ask the Founding Fathers.
You are also obviously annoyed by that pesky violent 2nd amendment it seems
Your attitude is why America is doomed and why Venezuela fell. They just kept waiting for a miracle.

Let's say you are right......let's hear YOUR plan to save America.........?????

Oh, you have none.....it's called cry but do nothing. Yeah, that's been working splendid so far right buddy?

So long as legal proceedings are ongoing there is no need for violence. The second the fascists try and ban guns, that will be the trigger, and you WILL see violence on scale that hasn't been seen since the Civil War.

I dread that. All sane people dread that. The fact that we have a chance to prevent that from happening is critical.

Idiots, like you, trying to tip us over that ledge are doing so for YOUR purposes.. not this country.

Westwall.......

I hate to bust your bubble.......

But the conservative right today is depending on God to to their dirty work and will never lift a finger other than a very small isolated handful.

FACT: in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina local police, State police and national Guard troops began forcibly going door to to door to confiscate firearms.
The disaster was covertly used as a test to see how difficult taking guns from civilians would be. NOT ONE PERSON RESISTED.

Police Begin Seizing Guns of Civilians (Published 2005)

You are fooling yourself in many ways. Americans have no clue what they are up against.
Each day that "Patriots" continue this dangerous game of waiting for a miracle the tentacles of fascism are that much more entrenched.

This issue is cropping up in Buffalo as well. the Kensington Expressway is the main East-West artery in and out of Downtown, Interstate 190 is the main North-South route between Buffalo and Lewiston. Tearing these down would create a clusterfuck of epic proportions. I do understand that when the 33 (Kensington) was built, we lost a beautiful Olmstead park (Humboldt). So there's that. The other issue I see cropping up, let's assume that all this highway removal happens and inner city neighborhoods are revitalized. What's to say the Suburbanites WON'T come back into the city and drive inner city blacks into the Suburbs. Gentrification all over again.

"Gentrification" is the cry in Portland, San Francisco and Berkeley because developers come in and buy
up the cheaper run down old parts of these cities and displace the black residents who then have no place
to go while developers make a killing.

So what's the point in "reconnecting" old run down crime ridden slums with brand new billion dollar
thoroughfares? It's politicized money laundering, as I've said.

There HAS been legal recourse. Now, however, we are seeing that stolen as well.

When it becomes apparent that the government is gone, then you will see an uprising.

Until then shut up.

Or, if you are so special. YOU do something.

At least 11 cities across the country, including Austin, Texas, Baltimore, Maryland and Detroit, Michigan, are seeking federal funding from the bill to remove highways, however. Democrats argue the highways in question “had a damaging effect on urban minority communities,” according to The Wall Street Journal.
Many of the highways were built under former President Dwight Eisenhower. Activists claim that they cut through African-American communities, and caused divisions still present today. Biden’s plan seeks to allocate $20 billion for a fund to “reconnect” these communities by removing the downtown highways.
So exactly how does removing roads reconnect a community? There's a good reason for highways through cities; they allow easy access to the center of those cities for vital services like deliveries of pretty much everything. They provide access to the suburbs, and perhaps most important they keep a huge amount of traffic off of city streets.

Are they eyesores? Sure; sometimes. Have some of these highways damaged once vibrant neighborhoods? Possibly. But reducing logistical efficiency and creating a huge number of new problems is not the answer to inner city blight.
I think Biden's handlers are communists trying to bring down this country from the inside.
Biden voters in Seattle proposed to charge ONLY WHITE PEOPLE a reparations fee to attend an event as punishment for being white.

Common Sense has died in the US.

Classic Marxist move. Breed resentment thru abuses of government.

The double deck freeway which ran along the waterfront in San Francisco was built in the 50's, and damaged in the earthquake in '89; It was demolished and today the waterfront is a vibrant part of downtown.

[Any one who saw the movie Bullitt understood how it was before the development]

Both the Giants and Warriors now occupy stadiums on the waterfront, and there are numerous restaurants, parks and marinas newly built and attractive to visitors from all over the world on the east & south shore of SF BAY.

Well, another attack on Joe Biden and another source of faux news; just an editorial by a conservative Internet Tabloid. There are no contracts written in anyone of these cities, nor any blue prints posted. It is one more piece of crap promulgated by the usual suspect.
Wall street journal is a conservative internet tabloid?
Are you a liar or incapable of reading comprehension? The Dally Caller was the reference in context. No, the WSJ is a newspaper sold all over the US, and was purchased by Murdoch, the owner of the NY POST, Washington Examiner and Faux News.

How about you post his reasons for his proposals and we'll judge ourselves. Your view doesn't come unbiased.

Wait A Second, Biden’s Infrastructure Plan Calls For Tearing Down Highways?

President Joe Biden has sought to sell his American Jobs Plan as an infrastructure bill that would revitalize American roads and bridges, but the multi-trillion-dollar plan also funds tearing down some highways.

The bill, which still has no clear path through Congress, costs roughly $2.3 trillion and includes hundreds of billions in funding for projects that Republicans argue have little to do with infrastructure. Biden and Democrats have sought to expand the definition of infrastructure — which polls well with Americans —beyond simply roads and bridges. The jobs plan has been bogged down in negotiations between Republicans and the White House, however, and there is no end in sight. Biden announced in late May that he is willing to split his jobs plan into two packages, which could allow the infrastructure portion to pass more easily.

But the smaller infrastructure package may face the same issue, as Democrats, like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, are seeking to include Medicare expansions in the bill, which falls well outside the traditional definition of infrastructure.
Schumer and other Democrats have expressed impatience while negotiating with Republicans, arguing for an end to the filibuster to allow a party-line 51-50 vote to pass the legislation. Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona stand in the way of that effort, however.
