What the Communists are worried about is if Trump doesn't run, DeSantis might. He is their second largest threat, so the worse they can make the covid records in the state of Florida (yes, that includes covid deaths) the better for them.
De Santis doesn't need any help killing Floridians, he's doing just fine on his own.
And Democrats don't have to do anything to destroy De Santis or Abbott. They're both doing it to themselves, just like Trump did.
The American people don't want right wing idiology. They want sound governance.
Ron DeSantis signed a law that makes it legal for anti-fa to get in their cars tomorrow and drive right over the Justice for January 6th marchers, and if they die, they die.
Or for police in leftist cities to declare these demonstrations "riots", and violently attack the rioters. We have to protect the businesses and citizens of Florida from these hooligans.
Abbott's abortion ban is an offence to Constitution and to freedom loving Americans everywhere. Snitch nation. $10,000 reward to turn in your neighbours.
He can't keep the lights or the A/C on in Texas, but he can ban drive-in voting and extended hours to make it harder for wage workers to vote. Anybody who wants one can get a gun, and nobody who wants one can get an abortion.
American has truly lost its mind. Government is not about inflicting conservative morality and beliefs on the nation, it's about providing the people and the businesses the tools they need to live, work and thrive. Nothing that either of these governors is doing will help achieve any of these ends.
Keep the damn lights on or nobody can do anything. What good are you if you're not providing people with the things they need to live and thrive? The rest of the stuff conservatives are pushing, are matters of public safety and not "personal freedoms".
Republicans have abdicated their responsibility to provide for the general welfare, because if it's a matter of individual rights they don't have to do anything, and whatever happens is on you. That's the approach Trump took. He'd provide testing and vaccines and the rest was up to the individual states. That approach cost the country 500,000 lives by the time Trump left office, and his approach is still killing 1500 people a day nation wide.
