What sucks is that it includes data from New York, where the lions share of their deaths were from the first weeks of the pandemic when we had no idea how to treat COVID. We didn’t have the therapies we know that work now. We didn’t even know how to run their ventilators.

You take that out, and New York/New Jersey drop off the list.

Even with those states in, half those states in the top 10 are very red.

To be quite blunt, Kiddies...I have a hard time understanding the Left's morbid fear of Covid being spread by unvaccinated conservatives when the Biden Administration has been dumping thousands of illegal aliens with Covid all over the country! There is a serious disconnect there.

You mean where they had a Governor who was putting infected Covid patients back into nursing homes? Funny how you're on DeSantis for HIS supposed failures but totally neglect the criminal neglect of Andrew Cuomo, Colfax!

Want to know a secret? Every state out Covid patients back into nursing homes. They couldn’t sit on them forever in hospitals.

What’s your excuse for why red states can’t control COVID now?

Good. Nice to know that both the carrots and the sticks are working.
Again, I am not the problem. I have full immunity. You cannot seem to grasp that. Why? You’re a leftist. Meaning you’re deranged.

Why can’t you do both? Unvaccinated Americans and illegals? Again, I ll repeat since you’re stupid. If the CDC would differentiate between those who don’t and do have natural immunity they would carry way more cache.

Everything we’ve been saying has been about reducing risk. Reducing chance of getting infected. Nothing is 100% effective.

don't even freakin' try that. That is EXACTLY what was touted.

1. Very true.
2. Hospital beds are finite.
1) nope for example: Gov. DeSantis touts Florida’s elder response as country’s best
"
From the start of the pandemic, the state ordered that hospitals cannot release nursing home residents back to those facilities if they test positive for the virus. With some people testing positive with lingering COVID-19 indicators days or weeks after they seemingly recover, the state began opening the transitional nursing homes that can handle stable coronavirus patients.

“Frankly, we said if there’s any risk that they are positive, they cannot go back,” said Mary Mayhew, secretary of the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). “We know, not only is that population the most vulnerable to fatality, the residential setting is at greatest risk for rapid transmission.”

2) don't disagree. I don't see any red states needing navy ships brought in, or the US Military setting up mobile hospitals, like NY and Cali begged for

They have the most cases. How is that giving them more than their fair share?

They have the most cases because they've done nothing to prevent infection. If they're getting first crack at the MCA's there is no incentive at all for them to change what they're currently doing. There are 150,000 doses per week for the whole nation. There are 175,000 new cases per day.

I honestly do not see how you can in any way justify giving MCA's to red states ahead of everyone else. States with the highest rates of infection need to deal with their low vaccine rates, and institute mask mandates, and THEN ask for MCA's. Incompetence and stupidity doesn't move you to the head of the line. That's simply throwing good money after bad, something that Republicans have been doing since the pandemic started.

In my books, the MCA's go to the people and states who have demonstrated their willingness to do everything possible to reduce the levels of disease and death, at least in equal proportions to their populations.
