1. Of course there would be no punishment. He won. He was literally running for his life. His freedom. JK. Even if he lost he wouldn't spend one day in a real prison.
2. Trump will just pardon himself. I know many people who have gotten their felonies expunged. He will too. Won't change the fact he is a convicted felon. Actually, it will change that. He will no longer be a felon after he has it expunged.
3. Trump has the keys. He's in full control. I won't even complain when he does what he's about to do. Because my family will be fine. They're rich. It might just mean I won't leave them anything. Instead of living on the interest, I'll spend my fortune up before I die. But I'm not worried about it if that happens because my nephews voted for Trump. I can't wait to say I told you so and you were warned.
Like me, the judge might know Trump is guilty. But the prosecutor, who also believes Trump did it. Enough that he's willing to prosecute him and get a jury of 10 to all agree he's guilty.

I was on jury duty once. Thank GOD every case settled and didn't go to a jury trial. Although I don't think I would have been picked. Back then I sort of had narcolepsy. I would have fallen asleep constantly and gotten dismissed.

The Court declared that a President is immune from prosecution when exercising the 'core powers' of the presidency. Immunity means a person cannot be prosecuted
And if Biden or a future Democratic President tries to use this, this Supreme Court will rule whatever they did wasn't part of their core powers.
It's like when Mitch said he would have convicted Trump in the Senate but he's no longer president. It's for the criminal courts to decide. But then Trump is found guilty in criminal court and the Supreme says he was exercising his core powers. But he was no longer president. But technically he was. But Republicans will swing it however it suits them best.
We wouldn't have Trump right now if it not for Mitch not convicting him in the Senate for starting the insurrection.
