The 1972 ABM treaty was with the USSR, not Russia. And the USSR is a defunct nation, treaties with the entity are as valid as treaties with Carthage or the Delhi Sultanate.

The 1972 treaty was with the Soviet Union which is no longer in existence, so ummm you do know this and no Russia is not the Soviet Union but just a small part of what is left with a different Government ruling Russia!
