It took a year of negotiating and back and forth to finally get Trump to return only 15 cases...but when the archives were sorting them, they found 190 classified documents intermixed with his presidential records, and that is when by Law, the National Archives notified the DOJ / FBI.

No, NARA did not know about the classified documents, they simply wanted Trumps presidential records that were legally the archives, that Trump took with him.

It was over a year later, when classified documents were found in the few cases returned of presidential records, was the DOJ notified and per protocol, their involvement in retrieving them and assessing any national security threats.

Not true. Trump would NOT ALLOW them to search the storage room where some of the records were. He allowed the authorities to only peak in the room, and denied them the access to search through the boxes of files.....

Thus, one of the reasons for the search warrant later down the road.
