The Biden administration paused a shipment of US-made ammunition to Israel after the US Congress passed a bill to give them arms. At a press conference, Biden told reporters, "Look folks, I'm Ok with giving Israel ammunition and military equipment provided they don't ever use them", said President Joe Biden. "Israel has a right to defend itself against the terrorist group Hamas, but they can't use our weapons to do it", he added. "Really, these weapons were allocated more for decoration than war, and since it looks like they will use them, they simply can't have them...........pause"
The President was then directed to give reporters time to ask questions.
One reporter was called upon, "Mr. President, Hamas is reporting October a victory now that they seem to have successfully driven a wedge between Israel and the United States since the US will no longer give them weapons and arms, could you respond to that?"
"Smitherjism!" yelled the President, as he began to shuffle off stage.
No word yeat on exactly what Smitherjism means.
