Bernie Sanders might end up Running in 2028

Publicly drop all the culture crap, admit the party went too far, stop talking about the GQP and go back to focusing like a laser beam on the middle class.

My Rx for the Democrats
What actual policy things do the swing states want, apart from continuing to ignore the low waged and working classes?

Yeah and I want Trump to go after the Grifters and child traffickers and Epstein clients. I think we're both going to be disappointed

Don't they want the same things everyone else wants? Jobs, health care, safety, affordability, security, a future for their kids?

That's not a race issue, or a gender issue, or a PC issue. The Dems dilute their message by breaking it up like that just to serve their little grievance groups. They can't afford to do that.

FOCUS.

It's a classist issue cloaked in the guise of racism , misogyny , gay pride.....take your pick Mac

I don't see any indication that the Democrats are seeing where America is right now. This is not about competence.
  1. Bernie: too old, too Bernie. Forget it.
  2. AOC: female, too young, brown. Forget it.
  3. Mayor Pete: Gay. Forget it.
  4. CO Gov Polis: Gay. Forget it.
  5. Newsom: California. Forget it.
  6. Kamala: Female, brown. Forget it.
  7. Booker: Black. Forget it.
You can just remove those seven right now and get on with it. We've learned a lot about America these last few years, and the Dems need to react accordingly.
Um, how did Obama get elected, then?

Mac, you keep thinking that if the Democrats just appealed to the racists, misogynists, and homophobes, they'll win elections.

When in fact, the main reason Harris and Hillary lost to Trump is that key demographic groups didn't show up for them like they had for Obama and Biden.

Now, I agree that Bernie is too old, and the main problem with him and the Barmaid are that they are too far to the crazy left to appeal to the middle class who work hard to have nice things.

Newsome might be viable. Polis might be viable despite being gay.

Harris already has the stink of loser on her, fairly or unfairly. She's too associated with Biden.

Mac, sit down and shut up.

The fact is, Trump hasn't done any better with White people than Romney and McCain did.

The reason he won in 2016 was that too many people pissed away their votes on third parties.

The reason he won in 2020 is that Hispanics and Asians shifted slightly towards Trump. (His performance with blacks and whites remained relatively the same)

Now, this is a point where the Democrats DID drop the ball. They didn't make it clear that illegal immigration is unacceptable, and they didn't emphasize how many people they were actually deporting. For groups that were impacted by immigration (Hispanics and Asians who are here legally), that was probably a bad move.

Trump's policies of deporting sick children, however, is not going to play well in the long run, either.

He lied about his rally in Tempe. The stadium only houses 5,000. He claimed 15,000.
The vast majority of them were from out of state.

So you've lost twice now and your party has shit the bed and been exposed in the process.
:itsok:
I left the Republicans shortly after the 2020 election (I reluctantly voted for Trump).
I am independent, and lean more towards libertarian party. None of this is "new". I am on record.
